Caramelized Onions
Adding caramelized onions to everything from plain white rice to mac and cheese,Β or even a warm salad will make it pop with flavor, but not add tons of useless calories.
I always find that it’s best to make a large batch of caramelized onions on a Sunday afternoon so that I have plenty to add to dishes during the workweek. If you don’t know how, check out my previous post on How to Caramelize Onions.

I agree, caramelized onions add great flavor to a lot of different stuff….. They are great in your rice.
I love onions in so many dishes and to add to that garlic! The two of those together along with cracked pepper are things that I rarely leave out of my dishes!

Caramelized onions are one of my favorite items! I love them on 2 things you mentioned above – salads & omelettes. I love an omelette with caramelized onions, sun dried tomatoes & goat cheese. Now I’m hungry. π
