Scenes From Social Distancing

by Eve on May 22, 2020

We began practicing social distancing on March 11 and in these past two months, whenever I sporadically leave the house, I try to snap a photo or two of the world around me. This new world in which words like Covid-19, quarantine, and social distancing are a part of our everyday vocabulary.

This different world. This stressful world. This scary world.

Are you taking photos? Are you doing anything to document our current situation? We’ve seen people wearing masks, people not wearing masks, signs with new social distancing rules, and uplifting messages in an effort to spark hope.

Hope. It’s essential, that’s for sure. We all need it, not just during this time, but always. This time. It’s a time I can’t even describe anymore. There are SO many words to describe it. SO MANY damn emotions through all of this, am I right? In one day, we can be happy, sad, scared, worried, anxious, nervous, excited (Amazon delivery day), depressed, stressed, angry, the list could literally go on and effing on.

I’m exhausted from the rollercoaster. Are you? I think I’ll take a nap.

Virtual hugs,
